Baker’s Box

The Baker’s Box event enlisted the help of local bakers to teach foster youths (age 14-18) how to decorate baked goods and practice self reflection through answering questions in this workbook.

The book was designed with consideration for the participants, who could be prone to overstimulation with difficult and involved activities. It needed to be approachable and fun, so the questions were paired with illustrations and varied layouts to keep it interesting. Drawings were left uncolored so that participants could take coloring breaks if needed (They really enjoyed the coloring).

In partnership with Our House and Growing Hope in Ypsilanti, MI.
